This is a simple way how to solder your SMD IC using hand soldering tool only. You can put your IC onto the right place on the PCB and apply gel on it. And drag the hot solder (of course with hot soldering paste on it) over the IC pin. But remember, use a little paste only (according to the IC area or pin amount).
